Promises, promises

So the minute I claim I'm going to get organized and sort things out and make all neat and tidy I... well stop blogging for a couple of days and try to pretend doing so will somehow make it all do itself.

See the trouble is I need

A) the blog for Kirk, which must then be extracted from the rest of the content, neatly packaged, spit shined a little and possibly given appropriate tags and things so those lovely souls who email me wanting to know how they can just read the fricken' story already can actually read the fricken' story.*

B) the family blog, which needs its own space so it can stretch out a little and not be crowded with all the other stuff, and also probably wants tidy little labels as well because families can just be so demanding, and

C) a dream blog that my delightful relatives don't know about (love you kids! Love you Mom!) because I keep having these deep dark impulses to write about bikini waxes and things and there are some things my family should not know. Or there are things I should not know my family knows. Or something.

Which means that I contemplate all of this and then get the totally undeserved feeling that I've now done something about it! Tra-la - effort made folks and now back to the bon-bons please.

So.

Just to say, you might not see those changes, like soon or anything. But you will see them.

I promise.

*note, I don't normally say fricken' but like I said, my Mom reads this blog and she doesn't know I know those words. Plus my kids read it and they DEFINITELY don't know those words. Particularly since I never, ever use them in their presence. Especially when driving. Ever. Right kids?

I know exactly what you mean. Mr Duck and my mother and brothers read, which does inhibit me sometimes. I used the f word once - totally in context and I could feel her disapproval crackling through the screen.

Go with dream blog 3 and enjoy the liberation.

It is nice that you want to make it all seperate to make it easier on us blog-readers. I hope that your husband is still around even though he was in the middle of nowhere. Keep hoping and something will turn up. Also I'm sure your family will find it good that you are seperateing this so you can blog on your husband. On your dream blog uh um have fun I guess....
P.S. As friend of Child 1 and Child 3, they make Child 2 sound famous but I have yet to talk to her but I think I have seen her at school. Is there anyway to talk to her who depicited to be angry alot yet looks she can be fun to hang out with? - Cadet who talked to you after the awards ceremony and told you that I read your blog.

Cadet-who-talked-to....etc...

Child 2 is indeed famous and grumpy and very, very fun to hang out with! Have you thought about joining CAP? Child 2 is a member along with the other two... otherwise I think it hangs out with its friends most of the time around campus and is definitely approachable there. Also there's always the phone...

Tried and failed to join CAP for my parents said no and they have reasons. Child 3 may have mentioned it before that Child 2 was there but parents have a reason for everything. I only see Child 2 in passing periods and we don't have the same lunch. I did have the same lunch as Child 1 though but Child 1 is graduating so it's lonely at lunch. Also I have met Child 2 only once but I don't think she really noticed. So it would be awkward if I called asking to talk to Child 2. Extremely awkward... Plus I am sort of shy when it comes to meeting new people so can you see my dilema?

I wish you a happy you-day thing and could you tell Child 1 to have fun, be happy and, to have plenty of cookies every now-and-then. -Cadet
P.S. the 3:17 was me sorry.

Mothers know that their dearly beloved, highly creative and intelligent daughters do know and use a whole slew of tediously overused words; these mothers, particularly those who are word-oriented rather than pixilated, cannot grasp the purpose of incorporating such charming words into the vocabulary of daughters who are ingeniously adept at inventing their own fine expressions. However, mothers are overjoyed not to hear or read said words any more than they have to, and they love the thoughtfulness of their daughters' restraint.

P.S. Good luck, Anonymous I. Go for it -- give her a call.
